To say Dr. Thompson is my Ob/Gyn is an egregious understatement. Over the years – and the pap smears – she’s become my confidant, my therapist, my sounding board, the amazing doctor who has delivered both of out precious girls… and my dear friend. I don’t know what it’s like to go through a pregnancy and child birth at another facility with another doctor, and I don’t want to. Her loving, committed care for me has made an impact that will last forever. She’s the doctor who spent hours and hours with us in the delivery room facilitating the birth of baby Charlie and again for baby Maisey. She’s the doctor whose wisdom and loving touch ensured no complications of “stitches” needed after either girl (and that’s saying A LOT – we had two nine-pound bundles of joy). And perhaps most importantly, she’s the doctor who went to the waiting room once Maisey arrived and walked hand-in-hand with Charlie, bringing her back to the delivery room so that she could be the first to meet her new baby sister. She goes above and beyond demonstrating a quality of care that brings tears to my eyes even today. It’s rare. It’s special. And I’m proud to say that it’s merely the standard of care any woman would receive at Central Phoenix Ob/Gyn.
